Ticket sales

Can I reserve tickets?

We unfortunately do not have a ticket-reservation option for visits. To ensure reliable planning on both sides, and to avoid waiting times, we recommend buying tickets through our online shop. Alternatively, you can just pop in on the day and buy tickets for that day or the next day at our box office, though this may involve having to wait in line.

Giropay isn’t working. What do I do?

Not all banks support Giropay. You can check here to see if your bank participates in the process.

Alternatively, you can use the online shop with a credit card or buy tickets and vouchers at the CHOCOVERSUM itself. The ticket desk is open daily between 10am and 6pm.

The email containing my ticket hasn’t arrived. What do I do?

Check your ‘Junk’ or ‘Spam’ folder.

If you don’t see the email there either, please email info@chocoversum.de, stating the email address you used to book the ticket. We will check the transaction and re-send you the tickets if necessary.

How do I get tickets for children under 6?

Children aged 5 and under can enter free of charge. Please book a free ticket for your child in our online shop (ticket option ‘Kind frei (0-5Jahre)’) or at our ticket desk. Due to limited capacity, the booking of a free ticket for your child is required. If your child wants to make their own chocolate bar in the chocolate workshop, please buy a ticket for one chocolate bar (€ 4.50) at our ticket desk.

How do I buy a ticket to accompany a disabled guest?

Disabled guests (degree of disability: 70%) can buy discounted tickets. If the necessity of an accompanying carer can be proven (ID), one person may accompany them free of charge. Spots are generally kept free for this purpose on the booked tour. For their chocolate creation the ticket office charges EUR 4.50.

We’re coming as a group of 11 or more. How do I book tickets?

You can only buy a maximum of 8 tickets per transaction in the online shop. If there are more of you, simply perform multiple transactions.

Pre-registered groups receive an exclusive tour and special rates once registered. This generally results in a saving for you if your group has at least 14 people. Our Groups area provides information on this. Reservations can be made by calling +49 (0) 40-41 91 23 00.

Group bookings

Can the public tour times also be booked for large groups?

Our public tours are only intended for individual guests. For groups of 9 persons or more, we recommend taking an exclusive chocolate tour, as we can then tailor the tour to you and your group.

Can I cancel a group booking?

You may cancel free of charge up to 15 working days in advance.

What sort of discount do I get if I come as a group?

Our group prices are already reduced rates. The price depends on the type of group (school pupils, adults, disabled guests, or university students). Please contact Yana Goebel on +49 (0) 40/ 41 91 230 0 or by email at gruppen@chocoversum.de to discuss your query.

Vouchers

What can I use a voucher for?

Vouchers may be redeemed both for tickets and events, as well as at the CHOCOVERSUM Shop. They are not specific to you personally, nor are they for a specific time, so may be redeemed on any day. To obtain your entrance ticket to your desired tour, please present your printed-out voucher at the CHOCOVERSUM ticket desk, or redeem the voucher in the online shop using the 13-digit voucher code.

Can I also redeem the voucher online?

Yes, you can also redeem the chocolate voucher online. To do this, enter the 13-digit voucher code in the online shop’s shopping basket, and you will receive your tickets for your selected event. You can only use one voucher for a purchase process. If you want to use several vouchers, please split your purchases into several processes.

What do I do with a voucher gifted to me more than a year ago?

If there is no event date shown on the voucher, it is still valid. Please note that vouchers purchased before 7/3/2018 can currently only be redeemed on site at the ticket desk due to technical reasons.

If the vouchers have been issued for an entry price valid previously, you will have to pay the difference for the current entry prices.

Does the chocolate contain gluten/lactose/nuts? Is it vegan?

In our chocolate tour we offer whole milk and dark chocolate. Some of the ingredients in our chocolate are of animal origin. From January 9, 2023, milk chocolate will contain milk powder and dark chocolate will contain clarified butter.

Due to the risk of flying and residues in our machines, on which the individual production steps are tried out during the tour, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that our chocolate does not contain the following ingredients: gluten, hazelnuts and lactose.

In addition, chocolate on waffles will be tried at two stations, which also contain gluten and are not suitable for vegans.

We generally do not process peanuts in our exhibition, however there are products that we source from factories that also process peanuts. For this reason, our chocolate may contain traces of peanuts.

Can I bring my dog?

Please note that, for hygiene reasons, dogs are not permitted in the museum or the CHOCOVERSUM Shop. Thank you for your understanding.

Can I browse the museum/exhibition on my own?

All visits to the CHOCOVERSUM include a chocolate tour, as we can guarantee an entertaining and sensory experience for our guests during the 90-minute tour.

Where can I leave my coat and bag?

The foyer has an area for individual and group lockers, which may be used to store your valuables for a small deposit (€ 1.00, € 2.00 or € 10.00 for group lockers). Chocoversum GmbH does not assume any liability for valuables, cash or clothing.

Can I bring my pram into the exhibition/museum?

Our museum is located on the ground floor and has completely level access. Change tables are also available in the toilets/washrooms (men’s and women’s). Prams may be brought in.

Am I allowed to take photos and videos?

You are welcome to take photos during your visit. Just make sure no other guests feature in the images. Videos and filming are unfortunately not permitted.

Is there a suitable way to take my self made chocolate bar home in the summer heat?

Do you offer water during the chocolate tour?

May I join a German chocolate tour if all the English chocolate tours are booked up for the day?

You are welcome to join a German tour at your own discretion if the English tours are booked up or not suitable timewise. We suggest that you borrow one of our English Guide Books for a diposit of 2.50 €  at the ticket desk. You can retrieve your deposit once you hand back the book at the ticket desk after your tour.
